Samsung has launched a lot of smartphones recently in its new Galaxy A and Galaxy M budget series and while the Samsung Galaxy A10 is the cheapest of the lot, a new report suggests that the company is also working on a lighter version of the Galaxy A10 which will be called the Samsung Galaxy A10e. Just like the Samsung Galaxy S10e, the Samsung Galaxy A10e is also expected to be based on its more premium version but will come with lower-end specifications and hardware.

According to a report by Droidshout, the Samsung Galaxy A10e was recently spotted on the Wi-Fi certification site and while the device was listed with a model number SM-A102U, the certification site has suggested that the Samsung Galaxy A10e will run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box, which might also have Samsung’s OneUI on top, and the smartphone will also feature dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

It should be noted that the Samsung Galaxy A10 does not support dual-band Wi-Fi connection which means the Samsung Galaxy A10e will be a step up in this regards. On the other hand, this also raises the possibility of the upcoming smartphone being powered by a different chipset instead of the Exynos 7884 processor on the Galaxy A10. Since it will be a lower-end version of the Galaxy A10, the Samsung Galaxy A10e is also expected to come with a smaller battery as well as display.
