Samsung Galaxy M20 is now on open sale in India: Price, specs and should you buy it

Samsung has launched three impressive smartphones under the new Galaxy M-series already with the latest one being the Galaxy M30 (Review). The Galaxy M10 (Review) and Galaxy M20 (Review) were launched in January as affordable smartphones with great battery life and Infinity-V displays. Initially, all three phones were available only through limited-period sales. Samsung recently put up the Galaxy M10 on open sale, and now the Galaxy M20 gets the same treatment. The Galaxy M20 can now be purchased at any time on Amazon India and Samsung’s online shop.

Samsung this week announced the open sale of the Galaxy M20. In a tweet, Samsung India confirmed that both the 3GB and 4GB RAM variants of the Galaxy M20 will be available through open sale.

The Galaxy M20 price in India starts at Rs 10,990 for the 3GB/32GB version and goes up to Rs 12,990 for the 4GB/64GB model. On Amazon India, Samsung is No Cost EMI on major credit and debit cards, 5 per cent Instant Discount on Axis Bank credit and debit EMI transactions, and Jio Double Data vouchers on recharges of Rs 198 and Rs 299, among other things.

The Samsung Galaxy M20 sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-V display. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Exynos 7904 chipset which is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The biggest USP of the M20 is that it gets a 5,000mAh battery, which allows it to stay juiced up for a good two days. The Galaxy M20 gets a dual camera setup on the back that includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP secondary ultra wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. With the M20, you’re getting an 8MP selfie camera as well.

Should you buy the Galaxy M20?

The Galaxy M20 currently one of the best Samsung phones you can buy on a budget. It delivers on an attractive Infinity-V display with a sharp 1080p resolution and a massive battery life that easily takes you through two days. The new Exynos chipset is capable of deliver a smooth performance for day-to-day usage, and it manages to handle graphic intensive games on medium graphics pretty well.

The Galaxy M20 is for those looking for a dependable smartphone that delivers on display and battery life. It may not be for consumers looking for a great camera phone as the Galaxy M20 struggles in low-light performance. That being said, the ultra wide-angle camera is a great option to have, and the M20 is one of the few phones to offer the option.
